According to different environmental requirements, such resins as orthophthalic polyester, isophthalic polyester, vinyl ester or phenolic are chosen as matrix material.
2. High strength-to-weight ratio
Josson manufactured as a composite of continuous fiberglass strands and h
quality resin is integrally constructed for strength, but Fiberglass Bar Grating is less than one-half the weight of steel grating allowing easy removal for access below floor level and installation with no heavy equipment and less manpower. Properly installed, Josson gratings meet specified load requirements for steel and are more impact resistant than metal.
3. Impact resistance
The impact resistance of Josson grating allows repeated deflection without permanent d
memory, so once the object is removed, the Fiberglass Bar Grating will fully recover to its original position.
4. Fire retardant
Fiberglass bar grating has flame spread rating of 25 or less depending on different resin systems as tested in term of ASTM E-84. Test Report can be offered upon request. Special fire retardant requirements can also be met by adding extra additives.
5. Ergonomic
